As a former TV journalist and current talk show host, I am a master communicator with over 20 years of media experience. I have been engaging audiences as far back as I can remember, including a theatrical performance at New York's famed Apollo Theater. My talk show interviews have also made national headlines with features in People Magazine, Blavity, Daily Mail, and El News. I believe my innate ability to connect with any crowd also makes me a dynamic and versatile event emcee.
I am also a certified life and media coach for women who are the best-kept secret in their industry. Through my media company, Sutton Impact, LLC, I empower my clients with the confidence to own their stage, shine in the marketplace and launch life-changing talk shows. In 2011, I launched my own show on a network affiliate. "The Joy Sutton Show" aired for four seasons before relaunching in 2020 as an inspirational podcast. I also host "Addiction Talk," a Facebook Live show.
My media background includes serving as an anchor/health reporter for a CBS affiliate, producing stories that aired on Ente1tainment Tonight and covering former President Bill Clinton's impeachment hearings. I have also produced special reports from world-renowned medical centers, including the CDC and Walter Reed Army Medical Center. I also serve as the director of corporate communications for a national company. I am a proud graduate of Howard University and Virginia Tech.
